Recreation Activity Design and Flying Disc Store Australia Announce the Return of the Aussie Open in 2024

Perth, Australia – October 27th, 2023 – Recreation Activity Design (RAD) and Flying Disc Store (FDS) are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of the Aussie Open in 2024. This event promises to be an exciting showcase of Disc Golf's finest Down Under, drawing top players from Australia and around the world.

The Aussie Open, last held in 2017, was postponed in 2019 due to prior commitments and in 2021 due to the global pandemic. However, RAD and FDS are now excited to bring back the event in 2024.

"We are excited to reintroduce the Aussie Open in 2024 and put Mundaring Disc Golf Course on the global stage, offering local Disc Golf enthusiasts and players in Australia a chance to witness some of the world's best in action," said former and multiple times Australian Champion Chris Finn, Managing Director at RAD.

The Aussie Open promises to be a remarkable event, providing an ideal platform for players to refine their skills, showcase their talents, and compete at the highest level. Organizers are diligently working on event details and will provide updates in the coming months.

Mark your calendars for November 15-17th, 2024, in Perth, Western Australia, and spread the word to those considering a trip to the Southern Hemisphere at the conclusion of the 2024 Northern Hemisphere season.

The Aussie Open follows the World Team Disc Golf Championships, which take place from November 6-9th in Perth. This scheduling aims to attract top international touring players to compete for their countries and participate in a PDGA A-Tier event, adding to the appeal of a journey Down Under, with multiple events offering prize money to support international touring expenses.

For those with additional time to spare, the Australian Disc Golf Championships will take place within 14 days after the Aussie Open on the East Coast of Australia, in rural NSW, approximately a 4-hour drive from Sydney, in the charming outback town of Molong.

Thats a 4 week Aussie Trip with 3 Major Events
